Yoga Mats For Children

There is nothing more important for children than keeping a healthy mind and knowing how to maintain it. Children have different feelings everyday which can come and go. Being able to self regulate these feelings and emotions means that they can face difficult situations without being overwhelmed or acting impulsively, but self regulation is a difficult skill to learn. Children need to learn how to fortify their mind, and yoga can help.

Yoga is often described as “moving meditation” - calming the mind and creating awareness through body movements. As we become more in tune with our bodies, it influences our lifestyle and encourages a healthy mindset and approach to life. 

This is precisely why we started work on developing a method to introduce yoga to children in a simple, fun and accessible way; we developed a yoga mat for children and yoga mat for kids. Our yoga mats come with a sequence of 15 poses designed for all children regardless of their skill level. They have been carefully constructed in an order so that children can safely transition from one to another.

Illustrations are provided to help children stay engaged. When you take the shape of a star, a mountain, a rainbow or an eagle you can better understand the nature of these elements and experience a deeper connection to them, and to the world around you. This connection allows you to become to know all things as yourself.

Illustrations also enable children to remain focused and keep their attention in the present moment and not let their mind wonder. This helps bring the body to a point of stillness and prepares us to become fully immersed in deep concentration becoming closer to a single minded purpose, much like meditation.

Movement instructions are provided to help children master the poses and experience moving their bodies in new ways with yoga mat for kids . This can help them grow confidence in what their body can do as well as strengthening their body supporting co-ordination and balance.

Launching in late 2020, initially on Amazon, we have been inundated with positive feedback and were very quickly awarded the Amazon’s Choice badge for the “yoga mats for children” category.
